Tiny Quotes ("the app", "we", "our") is a motivational quotes app available on iOS with bundle ID com.tinyspark.daily, designed to provide daily inspiration.
The app is offline-first — your custom quotes, favorites, streaks, and reading history are stored on your device. Your notification schedule is also included in synced onboarding preferences. An internet connection is only used for: (a) anonymously syncing onboarding preferences, (b) syncing daily challenge completion events, (c) syncing in-app feedback you choose to send, and (d) managing optional Pro subscriptions in version 1.0.2 and later. No account sign-in is required from the user.
2a. Onboarding preferences (stored on your device and anonymously synced):
These preferences are stored on your device and also synced to our secure database (Firebase/Firestore) using anonymous authentication — no email, name, or sign-in is required. An anonymous user ID (UID) is automatically generated by Firebase to associate your preferences. This sync helps us understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the app. Your chosen display name and preferences are associated with this UID. A display name or feedback text may identify you if you choose to provide identifying information.
2b. Purchase information (version 1.0.2 and later):
Version 1.0.2 introduces optional Tiny Quotes Pro subscriptions, processed by the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage purchases, subscription status, and restoration. RevenueCat processes transaction and receipt information, product identifiers, subscription status, and an app user identifier. When Firebase authentication is available, that identifier is your Firebase UID. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Earlier versions with purchases disabled do not collect purchase information through this integration. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
2c. Feedback (optional, anonymously synced):
When you voluntarily submit feedback via the in-app feedback form, the following is sent to our Firestore database: the feedback text, the category you selected (General / Bug / Feature), your anonymous Firebase UID, and a timestamp. No name, email, or other personally identifiable information (PII) is attached by us.
Important: Do not include any personally identifiable information — such as your real name, email address, phone number, or postal address — in the feedback text. We are not responsible for any PII you voluntarily enter in the feedback field. Submitting feedback does not create any obligation on our part to implement, respond to, or act on it.
2e. Daily challenge completions (anonymously synced):
When you complete a daily challenge in the app, the following is queued locally and synced to our Firestore database under your anonymous UID: the challenge ID, the date of completion, and a UTC timestamp. No personal identity, name, or email is attached. This data is used solely to track aggregate challenge engagement and improve the app.

We do not sell or rent your data or share it for advertising. Firebase and RevenueCat process the data described above to provide app functionality.
All push notifications are scheduled entirely on your device using the system's local notification APIs. No data leaves your device to deliver them. No notification content is logged externally.
The app is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through the app, contact us at tinyquotesapp@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect any data stored on your device and, in future, any data synced to our servers. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
